Jo, thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry to hear of your mom's dementia. It is a very difficult time for you. Also, thanks for sharing the picture for everyone. Hugs.

Lisa, I am sorry for your multiple losses. When that happens, it seems like one just cannot get their footing. I share here and one other grief forum just to not feel so isolated. Your story will be honored here by many people who walk in similar paths. Sending gentle thoughts.

I have lost all my grandparents and numerous friends. It doesn't get easier or does it. I've been sleeping later just so I don't have to see the morning.

Here is a chapter from a online book by Carol Kearns. She was a grief counselor for  many years after the loss of  her own daughter. She was mentored under Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. This chapter talks about some of her clients unusual experiences after the death of their child.

Dreams can be a way for those who have passed to send us a message.  They can be source of receiving information...I have read of many stories like this and have had my own significant dreams.

My dad passed on dec 30 2015.....he wanted to go back to IL to get buried.....On the day he got buried that morning I had a dream that my mom was calling me as he was trying to get up and speak...I asked him if he was better and he started to move as she was wiping the sweat off him...I also remember his body being much fuller now like he gained all the weight back that he had lost then I woke up.....this was a sign?  I also have had other dreams where we were doing things since also....another sign?

Also from this site, is a video of an Orb, that is representing spirit energy. The young man Tyler, passed in an accident. Video is filmed by  his father at Tyler's favorite spot.

Video from Helping Parents Heal Conference. Speakers were Ernie and Kristine who had lost their young son in a tragic auto accident.

I would give anything for a sign.  There were a few things right after his death but I'm not sure.  Words can't convey how much we miss them can they!  It's been almost two months now and all I do is cry most of the time.  He was my life.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
