About my Loss:
My mother died on 12/27/15, two days after Christmas. It was a freak heart attack, completely unexpected. Worse, I was three hours away almost home after having visited for the holidays. My family waited for me to come say good bye before making any decisions, but I can't help thinking that I should have been there.

She was 50, only 22 years older than me. She never got to see her grandchildren.
