Debbie do you intend this as an another group on this site, or are you wanting only local people who can attend meetings.  I did not join in January because it seemed to me you were trying to organize a local group.

I think you are probably wanting to start an actual group that would get together as opposed to an online group?  I have been searching and searching for a group to talk to. So, I wish I lived in your area, not 80 miles from nowhere in NM!  My best friend was a caregiver for her husband for 3 years when he died from renal cancer.  My husband died 6 months after diagnosis of colon cancer.  Even though we both suffered and lost, our experiences were not the same.  I know it would  help to talk to others.  Good luck

My mom died 4 months ago

My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
