Not sure what I'm doing here on this site, I'm missing my long time partner of 30 years who passed away suddenly this past Feb 22nd.

I'm so sad these days, I lost my Partner and best Friend of 30 years this past Feb 22nd. He died suddenly of what the Doctors called a heart arrythmia, apparently you can be healthy and fine and your heart can just give out? He died in my arms just 4 days after our anniversary and a week after Valentine's day.

I think I'll hate the month of February for the rest of my life! I miss him terribly and don't know if I'll get through this. It's dam hard and I'm so tired and sad these days.

I love you Rob,

The same thing happened to my husband 5 weeks ago. How are you doing?  Maybe you can help me with your experience in this. I am so new at this and we were together 33 years.  I miss him so much now that my heart hurts physically.  I am so afraid of the future but I am "doing" everyday.  Please tell me that this will get better.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I know they are common words, and if you are anything like me you are probably a bit numb to them, but there really aren't words that carry a magical comfort. cardiac arrhythmia is something that terrifies me!!  My youngest daughter Isabella has cardiac dysrhythmia and chronic kidney infections, and ever since losing her big sister this past November I have worried about her silly little heart I would never be able to handle losing another child:(.  Don't give up on Februarys! when it comes around again use it as a time to celebrate his life and all that was good.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
