I am still hurting so bad. I miss my mom sooo much. It is going to be extremely difficult getting through the holidays without her. The murderer is in court again on the 15th. I do not know what to expect but I am terrified.

My mom was stabbed to death on Aug. 5th. We had just celebrated her 67th birthday. Four days later she was killed. Not only did the murderer rob, beat, and stab her 19 times but he also chose to disfigure her face. I was not even able to view her before she was cremated. I am having a very difficult time getting her horrible last moments out of my head. I meet with the DA tomorrow morning and I am terrified.

I have been a member of this group for almost 2 years and when this group first started I know it helped me to "talk" with other people going through the same thing. When you grieve for someone who has been murdered it is a different kind of grief than any other. You have media, trials, etc..... It is so hard. I wish I knew how to find old post from this site to let some of the new members read other stories. I don't know why or how this helped me but it did. My family couldn't talk about the murder and I was obsessed with it. It was nice to have someone to "talk" to. Thanks to all those people who helped me.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

Loss of a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide

If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. Losing someone any of these ways is not natural and can be hard to understand and ask why? I lost my Mother to an overdose 9 years ago. She also suffered from major depression. Her doctor got her hooked on pain medication and she was addicted most of my life. These doctors who were suppose to help her ended up killing her in the end. I also…See More
