About Me:
I am a 25 year old school teacher. I love my job and teaching my little first graders. I am married to my best friend and have wonderful friends and family. I have a puggle named Evey and a really mean cat named Chloe. Life is a mystery to me right now as I have always been a planner and planned out everything I would ever do in life but now find myself lost and just trying to figure out where my life is headed...
About my Loss:
I suffered a very scary loss December 17th, 2009 where my uterus ruptured which caused the loss of my son at 19 weeks pregnant and me within an hour of dying myself. Then my daughter was born on December 10th, 2010 when I was 28 weeks pregnant. She was born with some unknown conditions which caused her to pass on December 16th. It has been extremely difficult as I feel that lightning has struck twice.

The Emotional Rollercoaster

I feel as if I'm on that rollercoaster I've heard about when grieving.  One day I feel lower than low and the next day I feel ok.  I wouldn't say I ever feel completely high and happy but ok is a great feeling for me.  I long for more "ok" days.  The pain is just so fresh right now since I only lost my daugther 5 weeks ago.  I just wonder sometimes.. will the "ok" days become more and more?  It's like bipolar of grief.  I keep trying to… Continue

Lost 2 children before I got to know them...

I'm new to this site and am hoping to find some people who are grieving just like me.

Last year on December 17th I was taken to the hospital in horrific pain.. I realized that I had a condition that caused me to lose my baby boy when I was just 19 weeks pregnant.  I was in a bad state as well and was an hour away from losing my life. No-one…

Hi Tracy.  I just read your story and although you are quite a bit younger than I am, I thought I'd share that I have lost a couple pregnancies and a son at 3 1/2 months due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.  Your description of the ups and downs sounds quite normal to me.  Hang in there.  I just wanted to say I am so sorry for your losses.  So happy you have a great husband to be with.

"GriefShare is a church based support group. They do have meetings online, but the usual format is a group of people experiencing a loss getting together weekly to watch videos (13 weeks total) about grief and loss. After the video, we talk about the…"

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
