August 20th 2011 was the date i lost my husband. He was particpating in a poker charity run, and someone forgot their ticket, and he offered to go back, and get it for that pwrson, but he never made it back. The motorcycle went about 366 feet, flipped and crished his chest, and died shortly afterwards. he didn't suffer I've heard. Our one daughter is disabled, and the loss for her is some how much more painful. I feel regrets and sadness, and so does she. We are starting to paint rooms, and thinking more about a new beginning. It is still hard, but I know he would want me to go on, and help others too.

I do understand the shocking pain from this type of death. I'm starting to stop regretting, and live in the moment, toward a better future. I will never forget him, and I tell him good morning daily. He would want me to be happy. I don't know how to move on, but I do have a strong faith, to help me move on.

If you ever need to talk, I'm online usually alot of the day, and I'll be more than happy to talk to you. Helping others is a part of the healing process I do believe. God give us the serenity to accept the things we can't change, and wisdom to know the difference, as stated in the Bible. Hugs!I'm a writer, and have written articles about how I'm learning to move on. If you want to read them and comment on them, just let me know. If you ever want to write articles about it you can too. You can write recipes, how to articles, and just about anything that interest you. I also write for clients too. The easiest site to learn to write for is called,'List my 5.' We will always miss them, but we call all move forward with the help of God, and good people. Just let me know if you need to talk.

How are you doing lately? Try starting to fix up your rooms, to give them a new feeling. Try asking friends are family members to help with color suggestions. A friend of mine made me a sign that says, Welcome friends,' that I hung in my living room. She also made me cusions for my yard furniture. These gestures of friendship have helped me know I'm not alone in this situation. God has provided me with good friends. need to talk, or share your great new decorating ideas, please do do. God bless! We all need to share a bit of positive though here each day, so we all can move forward the best way possible.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
