Profile Information

About Me:
I am an Asset Manager for a real estate development company. I manage 14 retail strips/office buildings. I am trying deseparately to hang in there after losing my husband in September 2010. I seem to do good during the day at work (sometimes), but get very depressed when I go home. Thank goodness I have our labrador retriever, Gus, when I go to my empty home.
About my Loss:
My husband passed away suddenly on 9/8/10 from mestastic cancer of the gall bladder, stomach, liver and pancreas. We were at the oncologist's office to get him started on chemo to try and give him some more time, when the dr. and I noticed that he was jaundiced. He was admitted to the hospital and a week later he died. I had brought him home when the dr. told him on 9/2/10 that he had 2 wks. to live. Along with Hospice I took care of him until 9/8/10 when he had a hard time breathing & the Hospice nurse and I both decided that it was time to have him transported to the Hospice Hospital where he passed away that night. I was holding his hand when he passed away. I feel numb, empty, relieved (he was suffering), sad, depressed.....

My mom died 4 months ago

My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
