Thanks again for a great post. I like how you sayd 'from bad grief into better grief'

Enjoy the snow. It has been unseasonably warm here in MA, no snow in sight. I am looking forward to the pure whiteness of some snow.

Very welcome.

Keep experiencing new things, making plans, projects, whatever, and never stop thinking of now, this instant.

Today it snowed here in Omaha, I was walking on a snow covered asphalt trail, and when I stopped to look behind me, I saw about 100 or so of my footprints...I thought, those are in the past.  I looked down at my feet and then along the path ahead of me, and it was pure white, no prints at all.  That path, that pure one is the now and future, the one behind me is the past, I said to myself.  So, i just kept on going, thinking about how far I have come from bad grief and into better grief.  We do have a choice, it's our lives, have to take control and think of the now and future over the past feelings, know what I mean?

Peace,

Michael

Thank-you, Michael

I need to get out in nature. I want to go to a pond, or to the ocean in Maine (a bit over an hour from here). I hope to do so later this week. It's been too long since I've been by the water. Tomorrow is my day at the cat shelter. Being with the cats once a week helps me. The give me good energy.

My mom died 4 months ago

My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
