About Me:
I was adopted so there's possibly family out there somewhere, and I need them now more than ever.
About my Loss:
I have lost everyone close to me. Most recent, my boyfriend of 8 1/2 yrs in the beginning of Dec., whom I married at bedside. My entire adoptive family, my husband of 14 yrs., my best friend, another close friend, and the man I wanted to spend my life with when I was 23. I was born on Christmas eve. Not so merry anymore. I have suffered depression and chronic pain for many yrs., and now I don't even have my sweet Michael. Too many angels, not enough contact.

How much is a person expected to take?

Michael's mom passed away today. The loss of him was too much for her. And so I've lost another. This is the second time in my life I've had back to back losses. My dad and husband died less than two months apart in early 2001, widowing my mom and I at the same time. Now Michael and Alice (mom). My existence at this point is beyond comprehension. How do I get with one of the counselors in here?

I'm Courtney Rice - a new member to several groups as I've lost pretty much everyone close to me and I'm basically a shut-in. I Really need help. I just went through Christmas And my birthday alone as I lost my Michael early in Dec. He was in ICU on his birthday. Please, will one of the counselors contact me? I don't know if distance matters but I'm near Gilroy, Ca. Desperate for contact.

Yes it is... We are both trying if that we can barely speak to one another but we are trying. I think everyone should support each other on a time like this. Through it's hard when the family or the friend don't support you during the beginning of the grieving and you feel yourself losing your mind and try to figure out who you are again as this new person.

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
