I once heard this comment- It made sense to me.

Lose a parent - you lost your past.
Lose a spouse - you lost your present.
Lose a child - you lose your future.

Not that we don't have a future...
However- The deep meaning of that probably make sense to all of us that have lost a son or daughter.
So much of what I hear just doesn't make sense to me - but, this one- I could just relate to so I thought I would share.

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
