I use to tell this story before my husband died.
I was visiting a friend and her young sons parakeet passed away while we were there. He was so upset. I told him a story about "pennies from heaven" and every time you find a penny it's from your parakeet who has joined your grandpa in heaven. His little face lit up and he said "they're togther?" I told him he would soon find a penny and he would know they were saying hello
That night we took the kids to midnight "glow" bowling. As we walked out of the bowling alley well after midnight......we found a whole bunch of pennies scattered on the sidewalk in front of us. He gathered and counted 32 pennies.
Coincidence? I don't know....but it sure brought him comfort.
And no.....no one owned up to doing it

I have had other experiences since my husband passed away. I don't care if it's real or not. It makes me feel better to believe.....isn't that all that matters?

Thank you Hazel :)
This past Mother's Day I woke up feeling sorry for myself not having my husband there to bring me flowers. After I laid there and cried a bit I put my feet on the floor and at the door saw a tiny little flower.....a weed really....lol. Maybe the cat brought it in on her tail?
I wasn't a dozen roses, but I loved it and I totally believe it was him.
I smiled the rest of the day.
When ya think about it...we're lucky gals to have husbands that would work so hard to still make us happy. Whatever helps.

My mom died 4 months ago

She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
