Another hurdle crossed
I never realized that I would be faced with so many "events" to cope with when she died. Making the funeral arrangements, doing the visitation, then the funeral itself, those were the obvious things. But then came the REAL challenges.

The darkest 6 weeks of my life
Veronica was the love of my life and we had been together almost 13 years. Then Saturday morning Jan 7, 2012... I went into my living room and found her dead on the floor. I called her name, of course there was no answer. I looked for signs of her breathing, of course there was no movement. I reached down to shake her, and she was already cold and stiff.

Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

so sorry about your loss.i am so proud of u for being strong enough to go through her stuff and part with it.my sis died 3 years ago,and at first i did try to get rid of some of her things.but now the house still sits filled with all her stuff in disaray.she was a bit of a hoarder too.now i just live in 1 little room in the garrage because i cant stand to go in the house where i found her body,and everything is still exactly as it was on that night.i dont kno if i'll ever be able to go through her stuff.
