Thanks Ruthie. I hope you're doing okay with the holidays. It's been up and down for me. Yes, as you said, everyone is different in terms of what they decide to do in terms of dating. It's been two years, and I can't imagine dating--but I believe this is something that has no rules and every person has the right to make that choice for her/himself in their own time. And so rather than thinking about that I have been working on doing what I need to do to go forward as best I can.

Maryland is actually quite a bit more mild than Ohio...I forgot how cold it gets up north!

Hi Ruthie thanks for the note. I am so sorry for your loss and know exactly what you are going through. It will be a year Jan 30 for me and I'm finally eating normally again. I still don't sleep well and I haven't gone back to work. I know this sounds chliche but time really does help along with a support system. Please try to have a nice holiday even though I know it will be rough.

Thanks for the note. I'm so sorry to hear what you have been going through.I moved to Ohio after my husband was killed (He was 42).  I could not stay in Maryland where we were living. I've been here for about two years now. I am also in the sudden loss group.

Wow, Ruthie!  Incredible!  And I'm glad the book helps you.  I can't remember if I told you, but they refer to the Forever Family Foundation, who, in turn, have the fabulous course "Love Knows Know Death."  It's the best $10 I ever spent.

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
