My mom died 4 months ago
My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. Hi Lauri, I am so very sorry you are on this journey with us. I lost my husband of 34 years to Melanoma as well, in 2011. It happened so fast! I with there were stronger words to offer you than these.... You will get through today, and tomorrow. One second at a time at times. You will get used to this new normal that none of us asked for, or prepare for. Find a way to honor YOUR life each day, just as he would if he were here. Time does not heal this pain, but it does make it a much more gentle feeling than you are in right now. Gentle caring hugs from me to you.
