sometimes I think the loss of someone will get easier, I feel it get's more difficult with time.  I lost my daughter she was only 36 6 years ago in Feb. lost my mom it will be 4 years this coming June and I lost my sister last year in Novemeber.  I am so lonely and cry at a drop of a hat...  I need some one to talk about my feelings and understand what I am going through... if anyone can give me any ideas what groups to join or steer me in the right direction... thanks Debbie

Hi Debbie, I am sorry for your losses. I lost my son at age 20 in a car accident 9 years ago and my husband to lymphoma 5 years ago. I have attended compassionate friends meetings since the loss of my son and they have been a life saver for me. It is a support group for those who have suffered the loss of a child. Please go on their website and see if you can find a group near you. Wishing you peace and comfort. Wendy

thank you Wendy for answering my reply this has got to be the hardest thing to cope with I am so glad there is someone out there to get some comfort from...  thank you again Debbie

Hi Debbie

I am so sorry for your losses it is very hard to lose anyone just remember that any one loss is as hard as any loss you may have.  I have had multiple losses also sister two brothers mothers grandson dog and some others inbetween in just a short time between months not years.   I have found it helpful to join a grieving group which is quit helpful .....the girl that was running it quit or I would still be going.  I think it might be helpful to go see someone one on one weather its priest minister or psychologist.  also we can be of support to each other if you want that....grieving online friend Marilynne

I attended Hospice grief support meetings after losing my brother. The meetings are free and very helpful. When I lost my mom a few months after losing my brother I started therapy. It has been a life saver for me. This site is also wonderful. There were times at night, when it seems to be the most difficult for me, that I would jump on the chat. I always found a group of very caring people who helped me get through the night. I am also part of the multiple losses group. In the end we are all in the same unfortunate club. You have made the first important step in your journey by reaching out and asking for help. Here you are not alone as we all have walked our own painful path. I hope you find some comfort and help. Remember you are not alone. I will keep you in my prayers

thank you for responding, it looks like you have some good support groups.  thanks for the kind words of encouragement.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
