i lost my mom back in 2007 to stage four breast cancer. she had battled for 4 years prior to her passing and had been in remission for about a year but the cancer had come back and had spread ever. the day i found out that there was nothing the doctors could do to save her was one of the hardest days of my life. i felt like my entire world had been ripped out from underneath me. i still struggle with it everyday. i am 19 now and she died when i was 14, so its been 5 years since she passed but i still have moments where the pain of losing her is almost unbearable. i am supposed to get married next year and i know its going to be extremely hard not having her by my side at that special time in my life.

I am so sorry for your loss. I too lost my mom I am a bit older than you but loosing a mom is a big deal no matter what age you are. my heart has been taken out and I do not feel the same again and will never feel the same. I feel for you Samantha. there is nothing we can do to bring these beautiful moms back into our lives although I would give anything to hear her voice and see her again. I am here if you need to talk. Jayne

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
