Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
Loss of a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide
If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. Losing someone any of these ways is not natural and can be hard to understand and ask why? I lost my Mother to an overdose 9 years ago. She also suffered from major depression. hi Jessie, im so very sorry for your loss, I lost my only child my son nov 5 2013. he was 40. I to feel unbearable pain. empty, lonely. im have a very hard time. it does help to talk to others who are hurting to. we cry a lot and understand . please feel free to add me as a friend, the people in here have a heart of gold even though its broken kim
Hey Jessie. I was thinking a little while ago. I was in the grocery store, which for whatever reason gives me total panic attacks since all the deaths. Dumb. I went for my friend, who couldn't go. I keep going and keep trying. That's what I was going to tell you- we are all swimming in the same ocean, and the most impossible feeling thing is the thing we have to do the MOST- we have to FIGHT for ourselves. That's what I feel like I'm doing, is fighting for my life. I have to DO things. I don't feel connected to anyone except husband, dad and the kids. I don't feel like being here necessarily, but I'm FIGHTING. We have to fight. Even if it's just one little thing at a time. You ARE doing the right things, and are forgiven for the "wrong" ones. Keep fighting. You are not alone! And Welcome!
