Why do I go from my life feeling managable to complete distress in a matter of moments, for virtually no reason? Is that grief or something that requires medical attention?

It is great that you are writing, as what you are feeling is your inner emotions. The more you write the more they are allowed to express, and healing begins.  Be gentle on yourself, and take time to just relax and breath. , I send you love

I'm going through exactly the same.  Today I took my three year old grandson to see Yogi Bear.  The weather around the Chicago area is terrible today.  We got about 6 inches of snow.  I'm ok out and about for several hours~then I feel like my nerves are going to explode.  I delivered by grandson back to mom and dad and sobbed the whole way home through the snow.  It's grief.  I'm only 7 weeks into this.  I feel like I take one step forward and two huge steps backward.  Depending on where you are in this grief journey for now.......it's grief.  It's horrible.  Take it one step at a time.  I'm trying so hard to do that.
