Another morning and the day begins to dawn

My heart cries out, please God I can’t go on

Pull the blinds, please close the drapes

For my broken heart, there is no escape

I miss your laughter, I miss your smile

This pain will last much more than a little while

I know your happy and you couldn’t stay

I hear those words “Nah I’m Good” now enjoy your day

This advice I would usually take and move on

But there is no joy since you’ve been gone

My heart is heavy, the tears a constant flow

You left me way too soon and why I will never know

When my time here comes to an end

I’ve been promised I will be with you again

I will throw my arms around you, hugging you so very tight

We will laugh and share stories all throughout the night

As for now I will do my best to try and cope

Looking each day for a little glimmer of hope…
