About Me:
I am a stay at home mom and wife. I have been married for 11 years and have 3 beautiful little girls. I am thinking about going back to college to finish my degree. I quit college when my Dad got sick so I could help my Mom take care of him. I was there through the month long stay in the hospital and the month long stay in rehabilitation. My parents came to live with my family and my Grandma. They sold their home that I grew up in out in the country. We lived together for a few years, helping my Dad adjust to his new life. My family grew in size, and we bought our own home. My parents did as well, but we only lived a few blocks away from each other. My identity was so involved in taking care of my kids and helping my parents. Now everything has changed, and I don't know who I am anymore or what I'm supposed to do.
About my Loss:
My dad died February 11, 2010. He was only 50 years old. A terrible disease ~transverse myelitis~ took his life. He was sick for 6 years. One day he was fine, the next he was in the hospital as a quadriplegic..unable to walk and in terrible pain for the rest of his days. He had courage through it all. My dad was more than a parent. He was my best friend. I still don't know how to face life without him. My heart aches missing him. Time will not erase the pain of his loss. Love you always daddy.

My Fathers Loss
