- On Oct 25, 2017 O loss my only child due to gun violence. In his honor, I implemented a Scholarship and Emergency Fund at Tompkins Community College where he obtained his Associates in Science and at John Jay College of Criminal Justice where he was a Sophomore at the time of his murdered. Additionally, I established a 501c3 organization Melquain Jatelle Anderson Foundation to save other lives.

- My only child was murdered at a bus stop 4 days after his 27th Birthday.
