Profile Information

About Me:
I'm carer/ advocate for my husband of 35 years who is living with a diagnosis of incurable stage 4 cancer. I'm a Mom and Nana but though I've a good professional network of support have little or no personal/ social interaction/ support / contact.

Covid contributes to this as does the nature of my husbands disease which seems to see people draw away as cancer draws increasingly in. I'm a positive kind of thinker, fairly independent but daunted by what's ahead. I want to emerge strong for and with my husband, present for my adult children and grandchildren and compassionate in accepting people can only do what they can do. But I'm struggling.

In my life I love to study, travel, have family time, enjoy my grandkids still just babies. I loved travelling with my husband and we had planned on relocating but now a different future is here and we just must make the best of it as possible.
About my Loss:
It's more the loss of our future I'm grieving at present.Being in our 50s we had hopes and dreams. It's a future lost and leaves me financially vulnerable which can trigger anticipated grief and I sincerely want to "live...( with my husband)... until we say goodbye" as we believe it's not forever. But, I already feel so alone. So, I ask for what I need from our adult children while respecting their lives. A curios balance but best to ask than expect mind readers!

Hello ,

How is everything with you, my name is Charles McGrath,I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site. Could you please get back to me on:(charles_mcgrath81@yahoo.com) for the full details.

Have a nice day
Charles McGrath.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
