About Me:
Im 53, a widow since 6/10/2013, raising my last 2 children of 4 who are now teens. Lived in California my whole life
About my Loss:
My husband discovered a lump in his left thigh while at work, felt like he pulled a muscle. He immediately became ill and started to lose alot of weight. Within 2 weeks tests showed cancerous tumors in his sciatica area & within 30 days after more scans & a biopsy, he was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma. Not a single Cancerous mole was ever found on his body after careful skin check was performed while trying to find the culprit. His scans showed he had tumors throughout his entire body and a couple of weeks after his initial diagnosis it had spread to his brain. Everything just spiraled downhill & after trying 3 types of treatments (chemo, radiation & immunotherapy without success he passed 4 short months later. It affected me terribly and we lost our home and pretty much everything. I was in very bad mental status for many years and am trying to recover still almost 8 years later. I’m surprised i made it this far! But I’m here and I’m alive and i want to heal and live again!

Grandma sewing room
