Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. Losing someone any of these ways is not natural and can be hard to understand and ask why? I lost my Mother to an overdose 9 years ago. She also suffered from major depression. I just read your post about Lily and the tears just started flowing. I lost my daughter Kyra this past August. She was 26 and died in a freak car accident. I have always thought that Kyra was my soul mate since she was born. She is my older daughter and I so miss her. I went to a spiritual healer and she told me we were soul mates. We made an agreement we would go through this life again but she would die at a oung age but we would never be separated again after this life ends for me. I do believe this and it is helping me get through this horrible loss. There has to be more than this life on earth. Peace to you and your family.
