Carrie,
I just moved back to IL in May to help my son. We got an apartment in June the 18th we moved in, and I lost him July 30. I hated that building from the moment we walked in it, and did not like the apartment it just such an ominish feel about it, and now I know why
Thank you so much for writting back. I will be off line for a little while as I am moving to Rockford IL to be closer to my younger son, and I am taking my adult daughters with me, so I will at least have three of them close. Take good care. Feel free to caal if you need to talk 740-961-7534

Thank you Carrie for your words. Some days it is unbearable and most days it is ok and you go about life and a very few days there is normal carefree life. Kate (my wife, Britt's step-mom) and I have given up trying to predict how or when we may have some sense of normalcy back. As each day goes by it seems worse, if that's even possible. Some days I just don't care whether I live or die or w/e, I just want to be with my Britt.

Carrie,
Thank you so much. I am ok for the most part now, but the rollercoaster is soooo hard. I just can not believe that he is gone, and I guess that, that is part of the grieving process. I lost a son when he was 2 weeks old, and my son that just past away always said that he wouldn't live past 30, and next month will be 30 years ago that I buried my first son. Bobby that just past away I think that he must have known for a long time that he would not be here long he was just 31 on June the 8th.
Thank you again for your kind words, and I wish I was able to make your pain go away. Take good care.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

Loss of a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide

If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. Losing someone any of these ways is not natural and can be hard to understand and ask why? I lost my Mother to an overdose 9 years ago. She also suffered from major depression. Her doctor got her hooked on pain medication and she was addicted most of my life. These doctors who were suppose to help her ended up killing her in the end. I also…See More
