About Me:
I live in Portland Oregon and will begin my doctoral studies in public policy this Fall. I have a wonderful supportive husband and three kitties to cuddle. I am also a singer in a bluegrass band though it feels like I won't ever be able to sing again.
About my Loss:
I lost my beautiful dear sweet sister Shannon two weeks ago in a sudden fatal scooter accident. They said that she had no pulse on the scene so I hope it was quick and painless. She would be so mad if she knew she was dead, she loved life so much!!! She was my absolute best friend and life long confidant. I have no idea how to live in a world without her and I miss her so much I feel crushed by the pain of it all. She was only 37, loved to travel, loved to cook and eat, and be with friends and family. As cliche as it sounds her smile literally did brighten a room, she was a dental hygienist with perfect teeth going back to school to be a dentist. God the pain is unbearable. I feel her all around me.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
