Hi everyone, as this is a topic which is quite close to me, I thought I'd take the advice and join an online forum.

Well, I'm 30 now, and my dad suddenly passed away when I was 9. it did hit me then, but due to my age, I didn't really understand what had happened, and its implications.

I remember the day exactly how it happened, I also saw him in the morgue, at that age, which, looking back was a bad idea. I do feel it has really caught up with me, as Its on my mind day and night, and makes me sick. I was wondering whether anyone else has experienced anything like this, and what they do to help themselves get through? I appreciate any comments, suggestions. I feel like it interferes with relationships, and my whole outlook on life. I've tried being positive, being thankful for everything I have, but it still comes in the way, and does really affect me.

Thanks,

M

Hi everyone. This is my first post here.I lost my brother in December 2024 to an accidental overdose. He passed away suddenly in his sleep. We were only a year and a half apart in age, and he was the closest person I've ever had.One thing I've been struggling with ever since is that I feel an overwhelming pressure to reply to texts and answer calls as soon as I can. If someone messages me and I don't respond right away, my mind starts thinking, "What if something happens to them before I reply?…See More
