First, I am so sorry for your loss. All grief is completely unbearable but I can't imagine the pain of loosing the father of your child and being faced with single parenthood. I pray for your strength to get through this for your daughter. Second, so far the only two things that have really helped me with the death of my sister is writing and reaching out to others who can relate to my pain. Whether it be in blog form on this site or in a journal at home, just getting my feelings and thoughts out have helped a lot. Talking to others who can relate to how I'm feeling has also helped a lot because it shows me that even though I've never felt this intense pain before, I can survive it because others have. I know there is nothing I could say to ease the pain you're going through but if you ever need an ear, you can message me anytime. I'll be thinking of you and your daughter <3

You know sweetie we are all here grieving over losing a loved one.I am so sorry for you loss your partner was way to young to go. I lost my dad on December 12,2012 and I find the pain unbearable. I am also looking for coping skills. I have heard keeping a journal helps. I know the pain can be more than you can take. I find talking to somebody helps me because If I keep it in will kill me. I would love to be a listener if you want because this pain is so bad. God Bless you.

"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More

Being the Other Woman/Other Man

This is for anyone who has lost their lover to death and you were the other woman/other man in their life. We have to grieve in silence. I can't find any support groups and feel like I'm the only one going through this situationSee More
