About Me:
I'm a hairstylist and have been for 17yrs.,I'm also a single mom of a 17yr.old boy who's dad is in prison and does keep in touch with us but my fiancé was an amazing stepfather and father figure to my son. I'm very lonely now and hurt, upset, scared, and fell like my world is in a million pieces.
About my Loss:
I was with the love of my life for 3 and half years and lost him to a heroin overdose...but have known him for 3 years before that he was actually one of my hair clients.....he was such an amazing person and I have never felt this way about one in my life....he was clean 90 days and was so happy to be clean and he wasn't even using for a year. He's good friend got him started on it and didn't even show up to his viewing or funeral....but anyway I have no one around to help me through this or even talk to my so called friends aren't around and none of them came to h is viewing either but my son's dad's side of the family have been there well as few have my son's 2 aunts and one uncle came to the viewing and one of my clients also came to the viewing. So I'm hoping to find a support group and friends as well I'm looking to be able to talk to schools etc. About my loss and other families that have lost too.his name is Paul Maluk and passed away 8/24/2015....he walked in virtua hospital in Camden nj and asked to use the bathroom he didn't sign in or anything and after 15mins they say finally someone opened the door and found him on the floor unresponsive the doctor said they worked on him over 40 mins and nothing I wasn't allowed to see him since I'm not immediate family we were engaged and they had him as a John doe since he didn't have his photo but had his medical insurance papers on him and a sticker photo and info on an envelope.

"GriefShare is a church based support group. They do have meetings online, but the usual format is a group of people experiencing a loss getting together weekly to watch videos (13 weeks total) about grief and loss. After the video, we talk about the…"

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
