Profile Information

About my Loss:
My first love Ophie passed away on August 24, 2011. We've known each other for 34 years..since I was 17. We were together for over 20 years but we've grown apart and she moved to CA. We became very closed friends and talked almost every week. Her loss was so unexpected but I feel like my heart was ripped apart. I didn't have a chance to say goodbye to her. I don't know how I can get over this sadness.. Hopefully things will get better in time.

Show your pets you love them while you still can..

My partner Pam has been very supportive. I told her this grief is something I've to go through and I love her. Ophie was a big part of me. Now our cat Beau who was diagnosed with renal failure is slowly deteriorating. He was doing fairly well and enjoyed life despite the loss of his eyesight months ago.  Now he's eating less and continues to lose weight. He's the sweetest cat I ever had. He's now 15. Seems like only yesterday... time flies.
