Does anyone else feel pressure to always reply because you're afraid it'll be the last conversation?
Hi everyone. This is my first post here.I lost my brother in December 2024 to an accidental overdose. He passed away suddenly in his sleep. We were only a year and a half apart in age, and he was the closest person I've ever had.One thing I've been struggling with ever since is that I feel an overwhelming pressure to reply to texts and answer calls as soon as I can. I'm so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I lost my Mom to cancer on April 15, 2010, just 10 days after her 67th birthday. I miss her everyday! While I am glad that she is not suffering, I still want to be with her. Prior to my Mom's death, I lost my spouse, Jackie, to a sudden heart attack on November 12, 2009. They died 5 months apart. I lost 30 lbs. and to date, I've only gained back 10 lbs. Everyone was concerned about my weight loss, including my physician, but I couldn't eat and trying to force myself only made me physically ill. Take care of yourself to the best of your ability, but your Mom has only been gone 5 months and it will take time.
