Grieving Process

Grief is a process that you must decide to go through. I never thought @ age 37 I would be grieving my husband. I'm just looking for people to listen and give advice. I'm currently in Grief Share, but when that ends I know of no support groups locally to attend. I hope someone can share some advice concerning suicide of a love one. This is one of the hardest things that I've ever had to deal with. A suicide leaves so many unanswered questions and… Continue

I really appreciate your kind words. This week is tough and I know Sunday is going to be rough. I'm getting a tattoo in my mom's memory this Sunday and I'm planning on doing a lot of things she used to love to do. I'm going to try to focus on what a great person she was, and really try to make the day all about her. As much as it hurts and I still cry, even a year later, I know that she'd want me to remember her when she was happy and acting silly, not depressed. As survivors of suicide, I feel like it's really hard for us to grieve openly. There's this stigma attached to suicide. Take care and if you ever need to talk, I'm here.

Hi Dana,
Thanks for adding me as a friend.
I've found just sharing with others that have experienced the same thing helps. Now, I'm not saying it makes it all better. I still think about my brother every day and really want answers. But I have none. I have been to a psychic and she said my brother said it was an accident but I think she just said that to ease my pain. If you ever want to talk I'm here. (((((hugs)))))

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
