- About Me:
- I live with my boyfriend and our 2 dogs in my own home. I was supposed to be graduating from the University of Michigan in May but had to postpone due to financial reasons. I have a father who is my rock and a sister living in Texas. I enjoy spending time with my friends and dogs and gardening.
- About my Loss:
- I have lost a lot of people in my life and am still grieving especially for my mother. She passed away April 20, 2002 after fighting a coma that occurred due to a heart attack on our family vacation in Santa Cruz on Aug 6 2001. Her sister, my aunt, Colleen died in Oct after the heart attack. She had been battling diabetes and her kidneys failed. My mother's mother died in Feb 2002, she had been ill but she could not handle losing 2 of her daughters. I then lost my grandfather, my mother's father, in May 2003. Then in June 2005 my father's mother lost her battle with emphysema the day before I graduated high school. My father's father and brother had passed away when I was younger. Then the day before Thanksgiving of 2005 my mother's sister Connie and her husband died in a car accident. In the years after I lost my first love who was there for me when my mother passed in Feb 2009 due to suicide. I also lost my first baby niece in Aug 2009.

My Fathers Loss

Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
