- About Me:
- I am 30 years old, married to the love of my life since October of 2004. We met online when we were 13 years old and the love has grown from there. I was born and raised in California, and moved to Nova Scotia, Canada to be with my husband. We have a wonderful daughter who is the light and love of our lives. We of course also have a spoiled dog named Bella who runs the show around here!
- About my Loss:
- my 27 year old sister Tiffanie went to be a star in heaven suddenly on July 31st 2010. She was struggling with her addiction to prescribed medications, so at first what we thought was an overdose, turned out to be a heart condition she had for years without being diagnosed for. I was giving her tough love in hopes that it would get her to get some help, she quit talking to me in January of 2010. The guilt and lost time eat at me every day.

My Fathers Loss

Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

Hi Stephanie,everything you said is so true.Everything i have done in the last few weeks has been so crazy i haven't really been alone until this week to sit & think did this really happen to me?I'm looking after my parents & i see the loss in their eyes & it kills me as it was only me & my sister & i have a son..I just hope in time my life will feel like mine again as i feel so many feelings i don't want to show people that inside i feel like my heart is broken so i keep going everyday in hope i will not have to pretend everything is ok..thank you for giving me hope.. I'm sorry for your loss as well..
