Tuesday 11/8/16
My husband Shannon and I went to the Y after work. He walked on the treadmill and then ran on the elliptical. We came home and he leaned over the bed to do something and said he pulled his shoulder area. Other than that, everything was normal.

Wednesday 11/9/16
Shannon woke up and said his hips were hurting, he thought he over did it at the gym and went to work. Later in the day he said he felt like he was getting sick; fever body aches, etc... so he came home and went to bed. I thought he had the flu.

Thursday 11/10/16
I had to go out of town for work so I got up and left the house early. Shannon said he was going to Med Express when they opened. He texted me several times during the day. They did a flu test and were really surprised when it came back negative since all symptoms pointed to the flu. They said it was just something viral and would take 2-8 days to run its course.

Friday 11/11/16
Shannon's fever had started to break, he texted me Friday morning and said he almost passed out when he stood up. We thought it was because he didn't eat anything and only drank water on Thur. I told him to drink OJ to bring his blood sugar up. He had a protein drink and some OJ and asked me to bring home more juice. I came home on lunch and brought him more juice, he seemed to be feeling better. He texted me later that day and said he just laughed for the first time in 3 days to which I replied, "You're not dying!!!"

Saturday 11/12/16-Sunday 11/13/16
Shannon was still just really weak and tired so he laid in bed all weekend while I cleaned trying to rid the house of whatever the funk was he had. He had also developed a cough and asked if I had any codeine cough syrup left. I brought it to him and he slept for a while. When he got up he said he had felt like there was a 70 lb weight on his chest but it had lifted, I just thought it was from the congestion. He finally felt like eating a little bit so I got him rice and bananas. He fed the dogs Sunday and it wore him out.

Monday 11/14/16
Shannon got up while I was getting ready and fed our other dog. He laid back down and I said I was leaving for work. He told me to be careful and I left. I called Shannon on my lunch but he didn't answer. I thought maybe he was sleeping or taking a shower so I sent a text that said, "Are you awake?" I waited an hour and when I didn't hear from him I sent another text saying I was going to need to hear from him soon so I would know he hadn't like passed out and hit his head, no response. Then I started to panic so I called his cell, then the house and then both again, still no answer. I told my boss I needed to come home and check on him, I drove home with a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. When I walked in I could see him laying in bed like he was watching TV, I yelled to him with no response. I walked in and shook him, nothing. My first thought was that he had passed out but when I rolled him over I knew he was gone and called 911.
