- Our only child Jason, 27, died at home on 1/3/13 of a heroin overdose. He died around 8:00 pm. He was getting ready to go out. When we found him he was blue. We did CPR immediately. Paramedics worked a long time, but they declared him dead.

I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost my only child on Dec 1, 2012 in a tragic car accident. It is heart breaking. My son struggling with prescription drug dependence for complications of Crohn's Disease. He was on oxy IR, a very low dose but eventually the drugs starting taking over. Along with being sick, he had to deal with that dark road. I have many times gone to see if he was still breathing. Before his death he had managed with the help of a doctor, to get off those killer pills (which act very much like heroin). Then after such struggle and success, he was taken in an instant. I wish there was something to make it easier for you but just know that you are not alone and we are hear to talk whenever you need to. Hugs. Connie
