About Me:
I'm 28 years old. I'm married to my husband Joe and I have one child.. my son, Kyle. We have a house in Milwaukee. I work on the north side of Chicago (wonderful commute) and I'm an IT Analyst. I love music, going to concerts is great hobby of mine. I'm also very influenced by photography and have recently taken up video editing.
I grew up on a dairy farm, I have a warm heart towards animals and that fresh country air. :-)
About my Loss:
My father lost a battle with pancreatic cancer on October 1, 2010. It's always been my greatest nightmare to lose one of my parents. I would have nightmares as a kid and wake up crying.. and now it's come true. He fought it hard. By the time we found out he had cancer he already had advanced symptoms. From diagnosis to his passing.. we had about 5 months.

He was the kindest, sweetest, funniest man I've ever known. I will never forget him and I was ALWAYS LOVE HIM.

My Fathers Loss

Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward.Β https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

Loss of a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide

If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. Losing someone any of these ways is not natural and can be hard to understand and ask why? I lost my Mother to an overdose 9 years ago. She also suffered from major depression. Her doctor got her hooked on pain medication and she was addicted most of my life. These doctors who were suppose to help her ended up killing her in the end. I also…See More
