About Me:
I was with my husband for 30 years; now I am at the bargaining stage: Could I have been a better wife was there something more I could have done? I had been saying the Serenity Prayer, then the three 'C's followed by meditation on wishing my husband would get help and be the man I married again.
About my Loss:
My husband died alone on the bathroom floor on or around 20 Dec but his body wasn't found until the 23rd. My daughter and I were in Spain on Holiday when we got the news. I had been going to AL anon since 2004, and tried an intervention with his family in 2007. Nothing wouldn't work. He was fired 2011 due to his drinking and sat in the house the last 30 months chasing Xanax and Zoloft with a bottle of vodka starting before lunch.

She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
