About Me:
Hello, my name is Alexis Paige Zarycki, I am 21 years old, and I am coping with the loss of my mother. I am a writer and very spiritual, however I feel as if I need to open up to others in order to cope with my loss. Losing my mother at such a young age makes me very angry, and I need help during this difficult time.
About my Loss:
My mother passed away physically today after a three year long battle with stomach cancer. My mother is and always will be my best girlfriend. The woman who sang to me, fought my battles, taught me how to be amazing. I now have to go the rest of my life without her physically here with me.

Life.

I wasn’t going to post this, but then someone I love sort of convinced me.

So here it goes.

Today I woke up at 5:20am.

Today, my mother left her physical body here on Earth at 5:20am.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. That we as humans are spiritual beings, made up of energy. That we never truly die. Frankly, I believe there is no such thing as dying, because our souls live on in many ways.

I have always noticed that death is an…

Alexis,

My daughter is 23 and lost her father, my husband, Nov. 6, 2014. Her response is that she is angry. I have had anger...it's normal. So go ahead and be angry...let your family be angry, as long as it isn't at you. It sounds like you have a pretty decent handle on dying and souls and that will help you...maybe it will eventually rub off on the rest of the family.

Regardless, it's ok to mourn her. Her physical entity may not be here, but, her spirit, her soul, lives on in you. Maybe you can help your family understand that. In the meantime, know that you are not alone and that you can vent on this site anytime and will be among friends who know what you are going thru.

My mom died 4 months ago

My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
