Sometimes the best way of helping ourselves is to help others. . .

There is just so much grief - caused by many events in our lives - unfortunately death may well be the worst but many other happenings rank right up there. This is 15 yr old Brandon Parra. He is not my blood grandson but he calls me grandma and it sure feels like he is mine. He has been in the hospital off and on, every few weeks for over a year - this stretch has been 4 weeks so far and many more to come.

Brandon has a Disease called P.A.N.D.A.S. He has strep in his blood and his antibodies are attacking his brain.  His mother cannot work or leave his side because of this illness and the complications. The medical costs are astronomical not to mention just living without the ability to work.

I share in a global Bible Education work, which is the light of my life - this is where I first met Brandon and his mom. I have learned through helping others that when you roll up your sleeves and help someone else, you help yourself the most. So I have been trying to be a "Good Samaritan" and tell my friends and contacts about Brandon. If you would like to read Brandon's Story, in full, or are moved to help them, I will be happy to email his story and donation info to you.

I am encouraged by their love of God and I just feel so much better helping someone else, I wanted to share -

Brenda
