Hello Irwin, I know just exactly how you feel not having your wife with you. Such a hard reality to accept. You have a great new friend here as well as lots of members here who can share this tough part of your life with you. It is easy to feel alone with grief, but none of us are alone. My wife always told me to move on with my life and be happy if something happened to her. My mother passed on 123010, then 90 days later my wife passed. Was not at all prepared, but I came to the undertanding that neither one of them would want me to be down and not carry on. We have to carry the pain and at the same time keep going, and if not for ourself, for them. That's what they want. Grief can mislead us from ourselves, and while it is a part of our lives, it is also a part our world, and what an emotional world of grief it is. We're all here for you. You will find strength in your love for your wife. Michael
