I live each day with you in my heart

and you're always on my mind

All of my happy thoughts of you

Help to lighten up the grind

I look at grief, then I look at you

and can see it's not so bad

This grief doesn't even measure up

to all the good times we had

I keep a big umbrella

It opens up like wings

They fly me to a far away place

Where I can see all things

I close my eyes and see a light

That makes me stop and pray

It was your death that proved to me

That all things must pass away

The balance of life and love

Depend on many things

In my life I am proud to say

That you taught my heart to sing..

Michael Ballard

I wrote this poem last night at work during a brief thunderstorm, then I

walked outside and read it out loud to the rain, wind, lightening and to

Jami's spirit.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
