A good book sometimes is a great escape

Read books that will UPLIFT and INSPIRE it really helps.

I recommend a novel to you that had me laughing out loud and gave me joy.: Barefoot Through the Goathead Patch by Ken Jarman.

This hilarious novel chronicles the adventures of Timmy, a mischievous young boy in the mid 1900s who finds trouble around every turn.

Barefoot Through the Goathead Patch is a hilarious novel in the down-home adventure style of Tom Sawyer. If you’ve been wishing for a wholesome collection of stories that your entire family will enjoy, this one is a GEM!

Turns out the author, Ken Jarman, drew from his experiences growing up in rural California’s Imperial Valley near the Mexican border and writes about life in the 1940s and 1950s there. His portrait of a curious boy’s childhood is written in a fresh, fun, narrative style that hasn’t been seen on the bookshelves since Huckleberry Finn.

On April 12, 2011 only, our good friends at Hasmark Services are helping to launch this book and are extending you the opportunity to benefit: In addition to this hilarious book, you will receive $100's worth ofBonus Gifts
