About Me:
I'm a happily married 41 year old mom of two amazing boys (8 and 6). My husband and I met at a party in San Francisco ( he was from st louis and working in the financial industry.I was in my doctorate program in clinical psychology. I was raised by loving parents who I am close to now. My father is a proud native american father who was an adopted chief, eldest of 18 siblings. My mother was the eldest of 5 daughters and her family started the Orange County airport in California. She grew up believing in and having several experiences with being contacted by the deceased. Currently I am studying for the state board exam and getting ready to return to my career as a clinical psychologist. I am a 5th generation born and raised Californian. I never lived outside California until moving from th SF bay Area to the north shore area of Chicago 5 years ago. My parents are still alive and married, retiring to be with my sister and paternal family in Colorado.
About my Loss:
well i don't have any current loss, however my maternal aunt Kathy died about a year ago. Today, I received a phone call from her on my cell phone that came in my caller ID as my husband's cell number. When I answered, it wasn't him it was My Aunt Kathy's voice strong and clear she asked how i was i said i was fine and asked who she was and she said"this is your Aunt Kathy" I completely forgot my aunt kathy died and was driving on the freeway and would talk to her later. I thought my husband may have 3 way called me. My son witnessed the call and hearing me talk. my phone does not show a call coming in. I know i am suddenly flooded with validating experiences and need to understand what she wants or needs from me. Or what I need from her if she is to be my spiritual teacher.

Does anyone else feel pressure to always reply because you're afraid it'll be the last conversation?

Hi everyone. This is my first post here.I lost my brother in December 2024 to an accidental overdose. He passed away suddenly in his sleep. We were only a year and a half apart in age, and he was the closest person I've ever had.One thing I've been struggling with ever since is that I feel an overwhelming pressure to reply to texts and answer calls as soon as I can. If someone messages me and I don't respond right away, my mind starts thinking, "What if something happens to them before I reply?…See More
