About Me:
Married, three children and four grandchildren I was the youngest of six children. Four girls and two boys. I am now the youngest of five. That's so hard to even think. My dad passed away in 2000 from heart disease. My mom is living and will be 78 on July first.
About my Loss:
I lost my oldest sister last September from an accidental drug overdose. She had three beautiful children and nine beautiful grandchildren that loved her dearly. Her birthday is July Ninth. She would have been 57. My mom"s birthday is July first and so is my anniversary but it's going to be a hard month for us. I mainly came on here looking for help for my mom.She is so pitiful.I really wish I could help her but I know it's going to take more than me. It's hard enough for me.I couldn't even get out of bed for the first six months and I can cry at the drop of a hat. My sister and I are my moms primary care givers. I told her I would look for a support group for us to go to. We live in a small town and there is not a lot around here. I think there may be something thru hospice but I really hope I can find something for people that died from overdosing. My sister was addicted to narcotics after a bad car accident and some surgeries and she had overdosed about four months before this fatal time. I don't know what to do with the pain and the anger built up at a medical facility that knows their patient has overdosed by taking too much medicine and mixing medicines that's not even been prescribed to them with what they have and they do nothing. They just keep giving them the same strong mixture of drugs and don't miss a beat. So here we are now My 78 year old mother sobs like a baby. My niece and my two nephews don't have a mother or a grandmother for their children. As a family we tried to tell them while she was in the hospital the first time she needed help. She told them she just got a little confused and took the wrong medicine.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
