About Me:
I am 61 years old and have been married for 43 years. When I was 8years old, my mentally retarded brother was born and he was the light of my life. I have a younger sister, 3 kids, 6 grandchildren. My father died 18 years ago. My mother is alive and living in fla. with a new husband. Family is my number 1 priority, always has been.
About my Loss:
My Brother, Billy Joe, died on Jan.26 at 8:01pm. I was connected to him in a way nobody else was. At first I was happy for him...he'd had so many hospital trips and was confined to a wheelchair. I feel he is free now and finally with his dad and best friend. I knew this would be difficult for me, but I didn't understand HOW difficult. I feel like I am losing my mind. My family seems to feel it is time to move on and I have not even let myself get the the place where I can feel and experience that he is dead. How can it be time to leave that place. I cry all the time. My body is full of pain. I feel like my heart is broken in two and like my soul has been shredded. Tonite I began to experience a new feeling...total isolation. I am alone in the depths of my despair and I don't know where to turn.
