About Me:
Unhappy...sorry, there's just nothing in me to feel rejoiced about right now.
About my Loss:
My beloved husband passed away 10 days after being diagnosed with metastatic brain cancer. Adapting to life without him is very difficult emotionally and mentally. A day hasn't passed without tears, anger, confusion, and his loss is very overwhelming. I miss him...he was my life.

Dear Sandra,

I am so sorry that your husband had cancer, it is just so evil. Pancreatic cancer took my brother in law 2 years ago in less than a month from diagnoses. It was so impossible to think of something to say to comfort my sister in law and the rest of the family. It is difficult because nothing I say will remove the pain. I think we lived in total shock as I am sure you did.

You will find that you will go thru every emotion there is and that this grief journey is handled individually - in your own time and your own way. My family found it helpful to read this brochure:

When Someone You Love Dies

especially pages 14 - 17 How Can I Live With My Grief?

I hope you read it and find comfort and ways that fit you that help carry the grief. (((((HUGS)))))

Brenda

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

Loss of a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide

If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. Losing someone any of these ways is not natural and can be hard to understand and ask why? I lost my Mother to an overdose 9 years ago. She also suffered from major depression. Her doctor got her hooked on pain medication and she was addicted most of my life. These doctors who were suppose to help her ended up killing her in the end. I also…See More
