- My Mom came to visit me at my first home Dec 19, 2007. I just moved in Sept to start a new career and purchased this home. I was so proud to show off what I had accomplished (I know she wondered sometimes which direction I would take) We went to my cousins house 4 hours away and stayed a few days, drove back to my house Christmas Eve. At 3 am Mom comes in and says, I can't breath please take me to the Hospital....April 13 she agreed to Hospice, May 29th she passed. There was never a time I didn't think she would walk out of the hospital, still I feel guilty I didn't do more. She was a single Mom and I an only child so close is an understatement, she was my battle buddy!
