- Im 53, married, two daughters 21 and 16. Currently not working. I owned a homeday care
for 15 years but when my Mom got ill, I gave it up to be her full time caretaker
- About my Loss:
- My beautiful Mom died Oct 25, 2013 at age 82. We were not the closest but I was one out of 4 daughters that took care of her full time at the end and I got really close to her She depended on me and that was a good feeling I am still grieving 2 1/2 months later I'd like to talk to people that have had loss and feel like I do

My mom died 4 months ago
My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. I lost my Daddy on November 13, 2013 at age 80. I was his caregiver during his last illness and was with him when he died. He and I were the closest of the three children. I do not know how long the grieving process will take, but it seems that I am just getting started on working through it and healing. Some days it feels as though I have not begun at all. I have not cried openly very much yet, which I think is unusual, but my heart cries every day. My heart and prayers go out to you.
